Wizz Air announced today, June 15, a new operational base in Italy, Naples, and the launch of 18 new direct international and domestic routes. The airline will allocate 2 Airbus A321 aircraft at Naples airport in August and September 2021. The 18 new flights to 9 countries announced today will complete 8 routes already operated from Naples airport.
Wizz Air began flying to Italy in 2004 and has since carried over 40 million passengers to and from Italy, operating more than 200 routes. The base in Campania is the 44th in the network of the low-cost giant and the 6th in Italy (after Milan Malpensa, Catania, Palermo, Bari and Rome Fiumicino).
The new routes will be operated according to the schedule below. 2 routes are launched for the first time - to Iceland and Estonia.
