Ryanair opens 2 new bases in Zagreb and Zadar

Ryanair is expanding its operations in Croatia and opens new operational bases in Zagreb and Zadar. Twelve new routes will be launched from Zagreb, and the airline will be offering a total of 36 flights a week. From Zadar, the lowcoster will operate 78 weekly flights on 37 routes - of which 17 are brand new.

The new destinations in Zagreb include Frankfurt Hahn (HHN), Podgorica (TGD) and Oslo Torp (TRF). The new routes from Zadar include Edinburgh, Newcastle and Bucharest. Flights to Liverpool will resume from Zadar after eight years.

Zagreb is a new destination for the Irish giant, and Zadar has been served since 2007, Ryanair was operating from ZAD seasonal flights with a single aircraft until 2018. Ryanair planned to bring 3 Airbus A320 aircraft to Zadar in the summer of 2020, but the opening of the new base was postponed due to the pandemic.

According to the situation valid at the time of publication, there is no competition for any of the 17 new Ryanair direct flights from/to Zadar.

The statement on new bases in Zagreb and Zadar comes just days after Ryanair announced the opening of two new bases in Greece (Corfu and Rhodes), and the reopening of the base in Chania (Crete).
